π Location: Hybrid - 2 days per week at one of our office hubs (London, Manchester or Leeds)
π· Salary: From Β£43,000 pro rata + 10% discretionary bonus

About the role
We're looking for an Insight Operations Manager to join SMG on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a brand new role, helping shape how our Insight teams operate across SMG's Retail Media Networks. You'll lead the operational delivery of campaign evaluations, ensuring they're delivered accurately, efficiently and at scale. Alongside managing a team of Data Assistants, you'll play a key role in improving processes, driving automation, embedding AI into day-to-day workflows and creating smarter, more scalable ways of working. What you'll do:
- Lead the efficient delivery of campaign evaluations across SMG's Retail Media Networks, ensuring they're accurate, on time and delivered against agreed service levels.
- Design, review and improve operational workflows to increase efficiency, consistency and scalability.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes using AI and other technologies to improve productivity.
- Partner with Platform and Engineering teams to deliver long-term automation and process improvements.
- Champion data quality by embedding robust quality assurance and validation processes.
- Monitor delivery performance, proactively identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions.
- Coordinate resources across multiple Retail Media Networks, ensuring work is effectively prioritised and delivered.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of eight Data Assistants, creating a high-performing, collaborative and supportive environment.

What we're looking for:
We're looking for someone who enjoys improving the way things work and isn't afraid to challenge the status quo.
You'll ideally have experience with:
- Data workflows and reporting processes, with the ability to interrogate and validate outputs using Excel, SQL or similar tools.
- Improving operational processes and delivering measurable efficiency gains.
- Automation or AI tools that reduce manual effort and streamline workflows.
- SQL, Python or similar coding languages to support analysis or process improvement.
- Creating clear documentation and scalable, repeatable ways of working.
- Solving operational problems and improving end-to-end processes.
- Supporting delivery teams and managing work against SLAs.
- Leading, coaching or mentoring teams within a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have:
- Experience within campaign measurement or retail media.
- Power BI, Tableau or similar visualisation tools.
- Experience working with data warehouses or APIs.
- Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
