About the role
We are looking for an Insight Operations Manager FTC to join our SMG team.
The Insight Operations Manager is responsible for enabling the efficient and scalable delivery of insight evaluations across SMG's Retail Media Networks. The role ensures campaign evaluations are delivered accurately and on time, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve how they are produced. This includes streamlining processes, reducing manual effort, enhancing data quality, and driving greater efficiency across the evaluation process.
What you’ll do
- Lead the efficient and scalable delivery of campaign evaluations across SMG's Retail Media Networks, ensuring they are accurate, delivered on time and meet agreed service levels.
- Design and continuously improve workflows to increase efficiency, consistency, and scalability across the insight function.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, using AI and other tools to streamline repetitive tasks and improve ways of working.
- Partner with platform and technology teams to develop longer-term automation and process improvements.
- Champion data quality by embedding robust quality assurance and validation processes, reducing manual errors, and ensuring consistent outputs.
- Monitor delivery performance, proactively identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
- Coordinate resources across multiple Retail Media Networks, ensuring work is allocated effectively and teams have the tools and processes they need to succeed.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of eight Data Assistants, setting clear objectives, supporting their growth, and driving high performance across the team.

What we’re looking for
- Experience working with data workflows and reporting processes, with the ability to interrogate and validate outputs (e.g., using Excel, SQL, or similar tools)
- Practical experience using automation or AI tools to streamline manual tasks and improve workflows
- Demonstrated experience improving processes and identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and consistency
- Working knowledge of coding languages such as SQL or Python, with the ability to use them to support analysis or process improvement
- Ability to create clear documentation and structured processes that enable scalable and repeatable ways of working
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand and improve end-to-end workflows
- Experience supporting delivery teams or workflows, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned to SLAs
Desirable:
- Familiarity with campaign measurement or retail media
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar
- Familiarity with data warehouses and APIs
- Experience improving processes using structured approaches (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)
