🔥 Data and Insight Executive — Publishing/Media
📍 London 🏢 Hybrid 💷 up to 38k + Benefits
One of the UK's largest publishing groups is hiring an Insight Executive to sit at the centre of its commercial insight function.
You'd report into the Insight Director, own an advertiser category outright, and present findings directly to their impressive client portfolio.
What you'll be doing:
- Extract insight from industry sources — TGI, Mintel, PAMCo — and first-party data including Google Analytics and the in-house reader community
- Run campaign effectiveness studies end to end: write, script, launch, analyse and present the results to clients
- Write, script and launch surveys, and support qualitative research across the reader panel
- Own the day-to-day for a specified advertiser category, building relationships with internal stakeholders, taking briefs and presenting back
- Provide audience insight for reactive and proactive brief responses, including reach and frequency analysis
- Build compelling, insight-led sales materials and keep marketing decks current with the latest audience data
- Help manage the reader community — setting tasks, responding to members and delivering community newsletters

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
