The role supports data driven decision making across engineering, operations, procurement, and finance functions by translating complex technical and financial data into clear, actionable insights. It combines strong analytical capability with a solid understanding of the aviation business.
The role will generate insights and analysis across areas such as aircrafts and engines performance, fleet utilisation and technical efficiency, MRO cost structures and contractual drivers, spare parts purchasing, inventory, material planning and handling performance.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop insights into engine performance, reliability, utilisation and maintenance planning effectiveness.
- Analyse spare parts demand, purchasing patterns and inventory levels to support material availability and working-capital optimisation.
- Support fleet planning through analysis of aircraft utilisation, technical downtime, AOG drivers, and maintenance programme efficiency.
- Define and supervise dashboards to monitor KPIs, trends, and technical performance indicators.
- Translate complex technical and financial data into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work closely with operations, procurement, and finance teams to ensure analytical outputs align with operational realities and business priorities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
