What’s the position?
Hard Rock Digital is looking for a Insight Researcher to join the growing Consumer Insights team. Reporting to the Senior Insights Manager, the role will work on and run qualitative and quantitative research across a mix of delivery models: in-house, jointly delivered with an agency, or fully managed by an agency. Working across Marketing, Brand, Product and BI, the Senior Insight Researcher will work on projects that inform brand, product, creative and promotional decisions across the North American sportsbook and casino business.
This is a hands-on role for a rigorous and curious researcher who is comfortable moving between research design, survey scripting, fieldwork, analysis and reporting. Success requires strong project management, close attention to detail, strong market research skills, and a practical understanding of consumer behavior and the evolving gambling landscape. This is not just an insight role; managing the market research aspect will also be key.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the team lead and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business questions into clear research plans, selecting the most appropriate methodology and delivery model for each project.
- Draft RFQ and run agency-selection processes with the team lead: brief existing and prospective vendors, assess proposals against business and research needs, and support with contract or statement-of-work reviews, vendor onboarding and ongoing supplier management.
- Manage qualitative and quantitative ad hoc and tracking research end-to-end. Typical projects include brand trackers, advertising and creative testing, proposition evaluation, consumer surveys, usage and attitudes (U&A) studies, competitive evaluation studies, segmentation or customer-experience research.
- Write and review research materials, including briefs, questionnaires, analysis specifications and qualitative discussion guides. Script and quality-check surveys or unmoderated studies in platforms such as SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics and UserTesting.
- Analyse and interpret data from customer, panel, behavioural, syndicated and other sources. Conduct or scope techniques such as driver analysis, conjoint and MaxDiff, and confidently review agency analysis, assumptions and outputs. Work with large or complex datasets to identify meaningful patterns.
- Note that where appropriate we fully embrace using AI-assisted research tools responsibly to improve activities such as scripting, transcription, coding, analysis and summarisation, while applying rigorous and appropriate quality checks, following compliant guideline and protecting participant and company data.
- Translate findings into actionable recommendations delivered through dashboards, comprehensive reports and concise executive summaries or debriefs, tailoring the level of detail and format to different audiences.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
