About Closeday
Today, closing a company can be time-consuming, opaque, and expensive. Closeday is reimagining corporate insolvency. We combine deep industry expertise with modern technology and AI to make case processing faster, smarter, and more transparent. We’re on a mission to close companies faster, lower costs, and return more to stakeholders as quickly as possible.
Founded by a team of highly experienced entrepreneurs, Closeday is UK-first, but international by design. We have hubs in London and Copenhagen. We are well-funded to execute on an ambitious, multi-year roadmap. We move fast, think pragmatically, and care deeply about excellence, collaboration, and building something genuinely transformative. All while having fun in a high-trust environment.
The Opportunity
As an Insolvency Case Manager, you are the engine of our casework, working across a broad mix of sectors and industries. You'll own a portfolio of live CVL and MVL cases across the full case lifecycle — from initial engagement and pre-appointment planning, through appointment and statutory case administration, to realisations, creditor and employee matters, investigations, distributions, and closure — working directly with the IP. You won't be expected to win work; you'll be expected to run cases with a high-level of autonomy, superbly, and compliantly, and to help us do more and more of the work through our own platform.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Working directly with the Founders, you’ll use and help build Closeday’s purpose-built insolvency platform. No legacy systems, no legacy thinking. This is a hands-on case delivery role, backed by a supportive, experienced team and with a genuine trajectory towards a UK insolvency licence. You’ll build deep technical experience, embrace emerging technologies, and help shape the product you use every day, with your judgement trusted and your development actively supported.
What You’ll Do
- Proactively own live CVL and MVL cases end-to-end - from the intro call, through statutory production, to the point of IP sign-off.
- Maintain rigorous compliance and AML discipline. Manage and escalate judgement calls early and well.
- Help drive down time-to-close and cost per case through disciplined, well-documented, repeatable handling. Help drive up throughput and quality across a growing caseload of small-to-medium cases.
- Lean on Closeday's case-management platform to do more of the work - and help build it together with the product team.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of UK corporate insolvency experience, with hands-on CVL/MVL casework.
- The ability to run a case substantially unaided, from intro call to sign-off. Manage case stakeholders - from directors to creditors to employees. A rigorous compliance instinct. Ability to deliver and close off.
- Excellent communication - written and verbal.
- Excellent collaboration - across the team, with direct IP support. Give feedback, thrive on getting feedback, too.
- Learning agility and a real instinct to use technology to do the job better.
- Comfort in a fast, half-built startup environment - you see creative freedom rather than gaps.
- CPI qualification is a strong plus but not a prerequisite - demonstrated equivalent knowledge, sound judgement, and learning agility matter more.
- Bonus: an appetite to work toward a JIEB/licence over time; prior exposure to tech-enabled or automated workflows.
