Insolvency Partner | London | Chambers and L500 ranked Law firm

An opportunity has arisen for an established Insolvency Partner to join a highly ranked Legal 500 firm as part of its continued strategic growth within the practice area. The firm are looking for a Partner to further strengthen its London presence and contribute to the ongoing expansion of the team.

This represents a high-quality platform for a Partner looking to build upon an existing practice within a well-regarded national firm, combining strong market reputation with significant cross-referral opportunities and a collaborative, full-service structure.

Led by an experienced national leadership group, the practice is particularly well known for its longstanding relationships with insolvency practitioners and public sector clients, including significant instructions from the Insolvency Service and Official Receiver. You will be joining a collaborative national team, working on a broad range of matters including administrations, liquidations, director conduct investigations, insolvency litigation, asset recovery, security enforcement and corporate restructuring projects.

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Insolvency Partner to join the growing Restructuring & Insolvency team in the firm’s London office, bringing with them an established practice and client following to help further strengthen and expand the team’s presence in the market.

This role offers the opportunity to take a leading position within a highly regarded Insolvency practice, working closely with fellow Partners and senior colleagues across the national team. The successful candidate will advise insolvency practitioners, office holders, creditors, lenders, corporates and government bodies on a broad range of insolvency and recovery matters, with a particular focus on contentious and advisory insolvency work.

You will advise on administrations, liquidations, bankruptcies, director conduct matters, asset tracing and recovery, antecedent transactions, office holder claims and insolvency litigation. The team is particularly well known for its longstanding relationships with insolvency practitioners and public sector clients, including significant instructions involving investigations, director disqualification proceedings and complex recovery actions.

As a Partner within the team, you will take ownership of your own client relationships and practice, with the support of a highly regarded national platform and established referral network. You will play a key role in business development, cross-selling initiatives and the continued strategic growth of the Insolvency practice, both in London and nationally.

This position is ideally suited to an established Insolvency Partner with a strong network of insolvency practitioners, creditor and lender contacts, seeking a high-quality platform from which to further develop their practice within a collaborative and growing national team.

Requirements:

  • Insolvency Partner (England & Wales) with a strong track record of advising insolvency practitioners, office holders, creditors and corporates on complex insolvency and recovery matters.
  • A portable following and well-established relationships within the insolvency market.
  • Strong client origination and relationship management skills, with a proven ability to develop and grow a successful practice.
  • Proven leadership capability with experience building and developing teams, alongside the ambition to establish and grow the firm's London insolvency offering as part of a wider national practice.

This role offers a unique opportunity to become the firm's lead Insolvency Partner in London, taking ownership of a key strategic practice area within an established national team. Working closely with fellow Partners across the UK, you will be well positioned to develop the London insolvency offering whilst leveraging existing client relationships, cross-referral opportunities and the firm's strong reputation in the market.
