The Inspection & Maintenance Delivery Manager plays a key role within MBNL’s Operational Services function, managing the end-to-end delivery of planned inspection and maintenance activity across MBNL’s passive infrastructure estate.
Reporting to the Senior Infrastructure Inspection and Maintenance Manager, you will manage approximately 50% of the planned inspection and maintenance programme, working closely with suppliers to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to the required standards.

This role combines delivery management, supplier assurance, Health & Safety, quality and continuous improvement, with the opportunity to make a direct impact on the performance and efficiency of MBNL’s infrastructure estate.
This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days per week in our Central Reading office.

What you’ll be here to do
- Manage the delivery of planned inspection and maintenance activity across MBNL’s passive infrastructure, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Manage and challenge suppliers against KPIs, contractual requirements, MBNL standards, Health & Safety policies and relevant legislation, resolving issues and removing delivery blockers.
- Ensure accurate inspection data and evidence is captured and used to support operational decisions, future maintenance planning and infrastructure strategy.
- Drive continuous improvement with suppliers and internal teams, identifying opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency and cost.
- Respond effectively to changing priorities and urgent requirements, including dynamic events such as storm response.
- Represent MBNL in supplier governance forums and provide clear updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Use market insight, operational data and industry best practice to challenge the status quo and improve the inspection and maintenance service.
Who we’re looking for
- Experience managing significant-volume delivery through third-party suppliers or service providers.
- Experience within infrastructure asset management, construction, engineering, telecommunications or a similar operational environment.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety within infrastructure or construction environments, including working safely at height and CDM requirements.
- Strong supplier management, communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing delivery against budgets, KPIs, governance processes and quality standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and respond quickly to changing circumstances.
- Ability to use data and operational insight to identify risks, improve performance and support future planning.

If you also have the following, we’d especially like to hear from you
- Knowledge of infrastructure inspection and maintenance programmes and Site Access processes.
- Experience with Operations or Service Management processes such as ITIL.
- Knowledge of MEICA engineering or infrastructure systems.
- Experience using Remedy, Sitetracker or similar infrastructure management tools.
- Experience working in regulated, safety-critical or complex infrastructure environments.
