Inspector
Full Time (4 Shifts / 41 hours D/N – 47.6% shift premium)

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Customer Delivery Centre to recruit a skilled Inspector within the Assembly & Test Derby Facility (PTF – Production Test Facility).

What you will be doing:
- You will work as part of a team to contribute to our business objective of delivering Engines on time to a high specification for the customer, whilst operating in accordance with safety requirements and within established procedures.
- Measuring and inspection of Engines to relevant engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Raising non-conformance issues.
- Working to set deadlines to achieve performance targets and Customer delivery commitments.
- Working in a compliant manner to ensure that products are built to the correct technical and quality specifications.
- Participating in continual review and improvement processes for the business to identify best practice.

Who we are looking for:
Being a part of Rolls-Royce you’ll know we embrace agility, are bold, pursue collaboration and seek simplicity in everything we do. These principles form our values and behaviours and are an essential component of our assessment process and are fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles.
- A recognised time-served apprenticeship within a Mechanical Engineering discipline, at either City and Guilds Level 3, or NVQ Level 3, and BTEC national or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in using a variety of engineering equipment with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply instructions correctly to achieve required product quality.
- Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate relevant inspection or fitting experience of engine components.
- PC literacy is essential.

The professional level and salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate but is anticipated to be DDH3.
