Our client is looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join their manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused individual to work within a precision engineering environment, ensuring all finished components meet the required customer, industry, and internal quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting finished parts, carrying out in-process quality checks, and supporting continuous improvement across the manufacturing operation.
Day Shift Monday to Thursday, 07:00 until 16:45
- Competitive hourly rate of £16.64 per hour.
- Company pension scheme with contributions matched up to 6%.

Inspection & Quality Control
- Inspect finished components using a range of measuring equipment including:
- Verniers
- Micrometers
- PI Tapes
- CMM
- FARO equipment
- Carry out patrol inspections of manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Complete goods-in inspections, including reviewing EN 10204 3.1 material certification and checking mechanical and chemical results.
- Inspect goods out, subcontract work, and purchased components to ensure compliance before release.
- Perform in-process inspections through sampling and random checks.
- Complete final inspections and ensure components meet required specifications.
- Sign off first and last inspection reports.
- Ensure zero defects reach the end customer.
Quality Systems & Reporting
- Record inspection activities accurately onto the ERP system.
- Communicate quality issues and failures to relevant departments and management teams.
- Report non-conforming parts and ensure appropriate containment actions are completed.
- Support First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in line with internal processes.
- Carry out process audits and support continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
Equipment & Compliance
- Calibrate and maintain measuring equipment to required standards.
- Ensure work is completed in line with applicable quality standards, including AD Merkblatt AD2000 where required.
- Support internal and external customers by maintaining high standards throughout the supply chain.
- Follow company procedures relating to quality, health & safety, confidentiality, and compliance.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within a Quality Inspector, Inspection Technician, or similar manufacturing quality role.
- Experience using inspection equipment such as Verniers, Micrometers, CMM, or FARO.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work closely with production teams.
