Role Description

The Installation Engineer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Stafford, with some flexibility for working from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Installing, commissioning, and testing environmental compliance equipment such as wastewater aeration systems and dust and odour suppression solutions at customer sites.
  • Performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
  • Following technical drawings and specifications.
  • Completing accurate installation and service documentation.
  • Communicating clearly with customers and internal teams to plan visits and resolve technical queries.

Qualifications

  • Strong practical skills in equipment installation and commissioning, including setting up and configuring environmental systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and electrical wiring techniques relevant to industrial equipment.
  • Understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and mechanical assembly for pumps, blowers, and related machinery.
  • Experience with maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of electro-mechanical equipment in industrial or field environments.
  • Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or related discipline).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics and apply them in practical on-site work.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices, with attention to detail and compliance.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently, manage time, and interact professionally with customers.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
