Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Installation Electrician role based in Maidstone. The Installation Electrician will install, test, and commission electrical systems and equipment in commercial, industrial, and agricultural settings, following technical drawings and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include routing and connecting wiring, fitting fixtures and control devices, performing fault-finding and basic repairs, and ensuring all work meets current electrical regulations and company standards. The role involves using appropriate tools and test instruments, completing job documentation and reports, and collaborating with other trades and team members to deliver projects on time. The Installation Electrician is also expected to follow strict health and safety procedures, maintain a clean and organized work area, and support occasional emergency call-outs or after-hours work when required.

- Candidates should possess strong practical electrical installation skills, including experience with wiring, containment systems, and fitting fixtures and equipment.
- Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, plans, and technical documentation.
- Candidates should have solid knowledge of relevant electrical regulations and safety standards, with a commitment to safe working practices.
- Candidates should have effective problem-solving abilities, including fault-finding, basic maintenance, and diagnostic skills.
- Candidates should show good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work cooperatively with colleagues, other trades, and clients.
- Candidates should be organized and reliable, able to manage time, meet deadlines, and complete accurate job records and reports.
- Relevant electrical qualifications or apprenticeship completion (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) and industry-recognized certifications are highly beneficial.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally between job sites is an advantage.
