Role Description
The Installation Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position. The Installation Engineer will install, commission, and test LEV extraction systems and associated ductwork at customer sites, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operation. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, preparing installation materials, performing mechanical and electrical work on equipment, and carrying out functional checks and adjustments. The role involves diagnosing and resolving installation or performance issues, supporting scheduled maintenance and servicing, and completing accurate documentation, test reports, and handover records. The Installation Engineer will collaborate with the project teams, communicate clearly with customers, and adhere to all relevant health and safety procedures and industry standards.

- Ability to perform Equipment Installation and commissioning of industrial systems, including ductwork and LEV components.
- Strong Electrical Engineering and Electrical Wiring skills for safe connection, testing, and fault finding on equipment.
- Solid Mechanical Engineering and Maintenance capabilities to assemble, align, service, and repair mechanical parts and structures.
- Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or similar) or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in industrial or workshop environments, ideally with extraction, ventilation, or similar systems.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices, including working at height, use of power tools, and safe site conduct.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation documents.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and a professional approach when interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
