HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Fire & Security, Power & Propulsion & Shipbuilding Sectors. We have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.
The Job:
The below job description will outline this position of: Fire & Security Installation Engineer
Typically, this person will be an experienced Fire & Security Engineer with a strong background in the installation and commissioning of electronic security and fire alarm systems. The successful candidate will predominantly cover the Glasgow area, with occasional travel to sites across Scotland.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, commission and configure fire alarm, intruder alarm, IP CCTV and access control systems.
- Carry out system testing, fault finding and remedial works to ensure installations are completed to a high standard.
- Work closely with customers and project teams to ensure installations meet the required specification and customer expectations.
- Complete installation paperwork, commissioning documentation and site reports accurately and within required timescales.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant industry standards, company procedures and Health & Safety legislation.
- Provide a professional and customer-focused service while representing the company on customer sites.
- Liaise with management and customers regarding any technical issues, project requirements or additional works identified on site.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience within the Fire & Security industry.
- Strong installation and commissioning experience with Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, IP CCTV and/or Access Control systems.
- Good understanding of relevant fire and intruder alarm standards and regulations.
- Full and valid UK Driving Licence.
- CSCS, ECS and/or IPAF qualifications would be advantageous.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to work professionally on customer sites.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with colleagues and project teams.

Working Hours & Package:
- £37,000 - £40,000 basic salary, dependent on experience.
- Overtime available with OTE of up to £48,000+.
- Company vehicle provided.
