Installation Engineer
Working for Pollution Monitors Limited; part of Vesta Software Group, wholly owned by Constellation Software Inc ($11B Canadian parent company). We design, supply and install, commission and service fixed gas detection systems. We are Safecontractor accredited for Health and Safety and ISO9001 for quality assurance. We pride ourselves on providing a high quality service based on well qualified and trained staff, good safety practices and attention to detail. We trade with the commercial sector only i.e. no domestic trading. Our customers are typically Universities, Research Laboratories, MOD, Medical, Education; Facility Management; Waste Water Sector predominantly in the South of England.
Responsibilities
- Installation of gas detection equipment incorporating fixing conduit, cable tray, catenary wire, boxed trunking with cable pulling, cable continuity checks and termination.
Qualifications
- CSCS health and safety card (preferred but not essential)
- 18th Edition Electrical Qualifications (preferred but not essential)
- Some administrative duties including:-
- Completion of timesheets
- E-mail communication
- Online platform for expenses
- Managing holiday absence, sickness etc.

Training
- In-house training will be provided where necessary
- A training schedule will be created to attend external courses as required
Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Start and finish times may vary to suit customer requirements but generally 8.30 – 4.30 pm on site, adjusted based on distance travelling to and from site
Work Away
- The company has customers throughout the UK but majority of the projects are London and the south of England typically Cambridge, Oxford, London
- For projects generally over 2 hours away from home you would be expected to stay overnight for the week, the duration of the project or at least a few days back to back
- The company pays for the hotel and other related expenses

Salary
- Between £32,000 - £37,000 based on experience
- This is reflective of the inconvenience for working away as needed and travelling
