Position Summary

The Installation Manager is responsible for the successful implementation, activation, and training of Marriott's divisional standard applications across hotels throughout EMEA, with a primary focus on Opera PMS and Sales & Catering.

The role supports hotel openings, conversions, application upgrades, and new system rollouts through user training, business process guidance, and operational support. Working closely with hotel teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders, the Installation Manager ensures seamless project delivery, operational readiness, and successful transitions to live operations while maintaining adherence to Marriott standards.

Scope

  • Location: London
  • Hybrid Model: Hybrid / Field-based
  • Travel Requirement: 50-75% travel across the EMEA region, including extended periods away from home

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the on-property installation, activation, and configuration of Marriott standard applications, including Opera PMS and Sales & Catering.
  • Deliver user training and support hotels through openings, conversions, upgrades, and system implementations.
  • Coordinate application integrations including MARSHA, Marriott Bonvoy, SGI, ODC, One Source, Opera SFAweb, and other related systems.
  • Partner with hotel leaders, vendors, and project teams to ensure successful implementation and cut-over activities.
  • Manage vendor installers on-site and ensure systems are configured in line with Marriott standards.
  • Support business process change management and reinforce adoption of Marriott application standards.
  • Deliver refresher training and ongoing support to strengthen user knowledge and operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain training records, complete hotel exit reports, and communicate project risks and progress to leadership.

Candidate Profile

Experience

  • Minimum of five years' experience in hotel management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience across hotel operations and management functions.
  • Strong working knowledge of Opera PMS and/or Sales & Catering applications.
  • Experience delivering training and supporting technology implementations within hospitality environments is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong verbal, written, and active listening communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation, training, and facilitation capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Highly adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced implementation environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in an additional European language is preferred.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
