Project / Installation Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project / Installation Manager to take the next step in their career and take greater ownership of a growing project delivery function within an established and expanding organisation.

This is a hands-on leadership role, reporting to the Group Operations Director, with responsibility for overseeing the successful delivery of a portfolio of installation and project-based work.

  • Overseeing multiple projects from initial mobilisation through to completion and handover.
  • Ensuring projects are appropriately planned, resourced and delivered against agreed programmes.
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying potential issues and putting recovery plans in place where required.
  • Working closely with operations, procurement, warehouse, logistics, installation teams and subcontractors.
  • Managing project budgets, costs and margins and ensuring commercial considerations remain front of mind.
  • Supporting budget control, forecasting and ongoing financial reporting across the project portfolio.
  • Managing variations, delays, subcontractor costs and other project-related issues.
  • Acting as a senior point of contact for clients and managing escalated delivery issues.
  • Providing regular project updates, reporting and KPIs to senior management.
  • Helping improve project processes, systems and reporting across the business.
  • Supporting sales pitches, tenders and client presentations where appropriate.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with relevant health & safety, quality and compliance requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You:

We're looking for someone with strong project management and/or installation management experience, ideally gained within sectors such as furniture, retail, construction, facilities management/FM, or working with multi-stakeholder environments and M&E contractors.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing multiple projects from start to finish.
  • Strong project management and delivery experience, ideally within an installation-led environment.
  • Experience working with installation teams, subcontractors, suppliers, M&E contractors and logistics partners.
  • Experience operating within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Good commercial awareness, including project budgets, cost control and forecasting.
  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to use formulas and spreadsheets for budget control, forecasting and project reporting.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Experience leading, mentoring or coordinating other project professionals.
  • Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to identify problems early and take ownership of finding solutions.
  • A practical, hands-on approach and the confidence to make decisions.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • PRINCE2 qualification or experience would be desirable, but is not essential.
