Our client is a specialist provider of high-quality accessibility and assisted-living equipment for care homes, nursing homes, and community settings. Their products help make bathrooms safer and more practical for residents and carers, including assisted baths, accessible showering solutions, and associated equipment. The business operates at the premium end of the care sector and is growing its service capability across South Wales and the surrounding areas.
Role Overview
Install & Repair Technician
As an Install & Repair Technician, you will install, commission, service, and repair specialist bathroom equipment at care homes and other customer sites. Most days will involve visiting one or two planned sites, working independently while maintaining a professional approach with customers and care-home staff.

This role would suit an electromechanical, facilities maintenance, or multi-skilled technician with a practical, can-do approach. Experience with plumbing and electrical connections would be highly beneficial, although full product training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission assisted baths and specialist bathroom equipment
- Carry out planned servicing, repairs, and warranty work at customer sites
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and basic plumbing issues
- Complete safe water and electrical connections as part of installations
- Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally, and to the required standard
- Support occasional deliveries and installations using a Luton box van
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate updates to the project and service teams
- Build product knowledge through structured training and hands-on experience
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a field service, installation, maintenance, or facilities role
- Practical electromechanical ability, with confidence working around electrical and water connections
- Plumbing and electrical qualifications or experience would be advantageous
- Comfortable working independently at customer sites
- Professional and customer-focused, with strong communication skills
- Full UK driving licence essential
- Experience within healthcare equipment, care homes, bathrooms, facilities, or building services would be beneficial but is not essential

Package
- Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience
- Company vehicle, including access to a Luton van for deliveries and installations
- Optional company car for work and personal use, subject to tax implications
- Overtime paid at time and a quarter
- 33 days' holiday including bank holidays
- Pension scheme
- Full product and technical training, including relevant health and safety qualifications
- Potential progression into a Lead Technician and, longer term, a senior technical service role
