Installations Engineer HVAC Domestic – London & Surrounding

£52.5k + Van, Pension, Bonus scheme, Hols 25 + BH’s

– Established HVAC & Main Contractor

A market-leading Property/Facilities Maintenance firm is looking for a field-based Installations Engineer to join their team covering the London and surrounding boroughs.

Backed up by Service and Technical support teams, you will ensure installations are carried out to the highest standards across a range of domestic boilers, radiators and cylinders.

Typical Role Responsibilities

  • Installing boilers and Controls, thermostatic valves, circulation pumps, and radiators.
  • Repair of pipework as and when required, ensuring minimum disruption.
  • Select plumbing materials based on budget, location, and intended uses.
  • Install pipes and fixtures, for water, gas, carry out power flushes of central heating systems.
  • Install support for pipes and valves, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation.
  • Test plumbing/heating systems for leaks and other problems.
  • Ensuring excellent communication between yourself and the customers.
  • Follow health and safety standards and comply with building codes.
  • Writing reports, documenting problems and providing a summary of actions taken.
  • Managing your van stock correctly, using the PDA to replenish stock.

  • ACS qualifications – minimum of CCN1, CEN1, WAT1, (CENWAT), CKR1 & CPA1.
  • DAH1, Unvented Hot Water, WRAS (water supply regulations 1999).

Essential Experience/Training

  • Health & Safety, Certificate of Asbestos Awareness Training Desirable, Certificate of Training Achievement for Working at Height, Manual Handling, First Aid (1-Day), or other. Desirable.
  • 5 years experience ideal.
  • Excellent knowledge of installations, heating, controls, and a good knowledge of old and new heating systems.
  • Desirable: Unvented cylinders, Carrying out heat loss on heating systems.
