Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Installation/Service Engineer to join our team and drive excellence in the deployment and maintenance of our cutting-edge equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, ensuring seamless installation, troubleshooting, and servicing of technical systems. As an integral part of our technical team, you will play a vital role in delivering top-tier service to clients and ensuring optimal operation of our solutions. Your enthusiasm, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills will contribute directly to customer satisfaction and operational success.

Main Function/Job Objective

Responsibility for the installation, maintenance, commissioning of electronic systems in compliance with current industry standards and with Abel Quality system. Promoting a high level of customer care in order that the service provided meets the customer’s expectations.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Carry out installation, preventative and corrective maintenance, whilst complying with Company procedures for:
    • Health and Safety
    • Work completed complies with work instructions
    • Quality documentation procedures
    • Company policies for vehicle use
  • Achieve service level targets and any other requirements regarding customers.
  • Promote generation of sales opportunities

Relationships and Roles

  • Ensure relationships with clients are maintained successfully.
  • Interact, liaise and co-operate with all company employees.
  • Develop successful performance with sales team through support and encouragement.
  • Liaise with Chief Engineer, Sales and National Accounts personnel to ensure work commencement and completion dates are met whenever practicable.
  • Maintain a neat and tidy appearance, wearing company issued clothing at all times whilst on duty.
  • Support Chief Engineers, Sales and Senior Management in a variety of projects as and when required
  • In addition to the above mentioned duties you may, on occasion, be required to work in an alternative Abel branch. You may also be required to perform any other tasks within your skills and capabilities as required by Director or his nominee. These should be completed to agreed standards within agreed timetables.
