We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable people to join our IT Training Team on a temporary basis from October 2026 to June 2027.

The successful candidates will deliver engaging, high-quality training to support staff in effectively using key operational systems.

About the Role

The Force is committed to the rollout of the new NICHE Digital Case File (DCF) system to over 4,000 police officers and staff between January and June 2027, and this role will play a key part in supporting that delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • The postholders will be required to quickly learn and deliver a 5-day NICHE / NICE Investigate course for student officers in a classroom-based environment at Devon & Cornwall Police Headquarters, Middlemoor, Exeter.
  • In addition, they will learn and deliver a one-day online course covering the DCF system, ensuring they remain up to date with ongoing system and process changes throughout the rollout period.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Working Conditions

Working as a full member of the IT Training Team, the role requires flexibility, reliability, and a strong team ethic. The postholders will be expected to participate fully in team activities and deliver training independently when required. As training delivery is closely coordinated, dependable attendance is essential—short-notice absence can impact both colleagues—placing additional pressure on the team—and the organisation’s ability to meet scheduled training commitments.
