Job Title: Instrument Technician
City, Country: Dalry, UK
We have a permanent vacancy as Instrument Technician within the Operations Support Department working on dayshift at dsm-firmenich Dalry site.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Understanding the scope and safety issues relating to allocated work.
- Carrying out defined work in accordance with DSMs SHEQ requirements.
- Signing off the RAPTW and initiate a handover of the equipment to production.
- Recording relevant job history and awareness of good documentation practices.
- Daily time recording for the job in SAP.
- Continuous improvement for maintenance workstreams (e.g. test procedure efficiencies).

You bring
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an Instrument Technician in a chemical, manufacturing, or process plant environment.
- HNC (Higher National Certificate) (or equivalent qualifications/experience) in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Proven experience maintaining and fault-finding on temperature, level, flow, pH, and control valve instrumentation.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Functional Safety and Machine Safety would be an advantage.
- Experience working in Hazardous Areas (ATEX); COMPEX certification is desirable.
- Any electrical maintenance experience is beneficial but not essential.
