Role: Insurance Advisor

About the Role
Reporting to your Team Leader, the main purpose of the role is to focus on our SME Commercial Insurance book of business. The portfolio includes a broad range of commercial risks, including:
- Motor Trade
- Plant
- Freight
- Engineering
- Property Owners and Tradesman policies
Key Objectives & Responsibilities
- Get to know your clients, their businesses, and their insurance needs.
- Provide advice and insurance solutions to help retain existing clients and support new business opportunities.
- Work closely with colleagues and management, sharing ideas and helping to resolve any issues.
- Liaise with insurers to negotiate competitive terms that meet clients' needs.
- Manage policy administration, including invoicing and credit control where required.
- Follow company procedures and regulatory requirements, including FCA guidelines, to ensure good customer outcomes.
About You
As one of our Insurance Advisors, you'll have excellent communication and written skills, along with a keen eye for detail. You will also be or have:
- A general insurance background and knowledge (essential). Experience within Commercial Insurance is desirable; however, we will also consider candidates with Personal Lines experience.
- A great telephone manner and strong customer service skills.
- Drive and a genuine passion to learn and develop within the Insurance industry.
- The ability to use initiative, multitask, and keep relevant systems and administration up to date.
- Acturis system knowledge and experience (desirable).
