Insurance AI Transformation Lead
Our client is looking for an experienced Insurance AI Transformation Lead to drive the adoption of Artificial Intelligence, Automation and Advanced Analytics across a leading insurance organisation. This is a high-profile leadership role operating across business, technology, operations, claims, underwriting and data functions. You will be responsible for turning AI strategy into measurable business outcomes, identifying high-value opportunities and leading enterprise-wide transformation programmes from concept through to delivery.
The successful individual will combine strong insurance expertise with a practical understanding of AI technologies, change management and large-scale transformation delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the organisation's AI transformation roadmap.
- Identify opportunities to improve underwriting, claims, operations and customer experience through AI-enabled solutions.
- Lead the implementation of Generative AI, Machine Learning and Intelligent Automation initiatives.
- Partner with Executive Leadership to develop AI investment cases and business strategies.
- Build governance frameworks covering AI risk, model oversight, security and compliance.
- Drive organisational adoption and change management across business functions.
- Establish success metrics and monitor business value realisation.
- Lead cross-functional teams including Data, Technology, Operations and Business stakeholders.
- Manage third-party vendors, consultancies and technology partners.
- Stay ahead of emerging AI trends and assess their relevance to the insurance sector.

Experience Required
- 10+ years' experience leading insurance transformation programmes.
- Experience working within an insurer, MGA, broker, TPA or insurance technology provider.
- Proven delivery of AI, Data, Digital or Automation initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management experience at Executive and Board level.
- Knowledge of insurance operations, claims, underwriting or policy administration.
- Experience building business cases and demonstrating measurable ROI.
- Strong understanding of cloud, data and AI platforms.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
