An opportunity has arisen to join a friendly, busy and dynamic insurance team dealing with all aspects of the Council’s insurances, including claims received from the public or their legal representatives for personal injury and/or property damage.
The main duties of the role
- Assist with the administration and handling of public liability and property claims, including maintaining accurate and up to date claims records.
- Assist with the management of insurance related matters and administration of leasehold and commercially leased properties.
Requirements
- Ability to work well under pressure and have good communication skills used to liaise with a range of audiences to include the general public, internal departments, solicitors and external organisations.
- Knowledge and understanding of general insurance.
- Advantageous if you had recent experience of working within an insurance environment and/or hold any recognised insurance qualifications (including working towards).
- Proficient user of PC based applications such as Microsoft Office packages.
