SME Construction Insurance Broker
£30,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission | OTE £50,000+
Radar Insurance is looking for an experienced SME Commercial Insurance Broker with strong construction insurance knowledge and a confident, commercial approach. We’re a manual market brokerage, so you’ll need to understand how to gather risk information, approach insurers, negotiate terms and build the right insurance solution for the client.
The Role
- Handle SME construction enquiries from start to finish.
- Call prospective clients to understand their business and gather the information needed to assess the risk.
- Approach the appropriate insurers to obtain and negotiate terms.
- Present the options clearly to the client, answer any questions, and help turn enquiries into successful placements.

What We're Looking For
- Strong knowledge of construction and trades insurance.
- Experience gathering and understanding risk information from clients.
- Experience with Liability, Contractors All Risks, Plant & Tools, and Professional Indemnity.
- Experience approaching insurers and working within the manual market.
- Strong communication and sales skills.
- Confidence speaking with business owners and asking the right questions.
- Ability to understand a risk and identify the appropriate cover.
- Confidence handling objections and selling on value, not just price.
- A commercial mindset and desire to earn.

Package
- £30,000 basic salary
- Uncapped commission
