About the Opportunity

As a Motor Sales Executive at Got You Covered, you will support customers who are looking to purchase motor insurance, guiding them through the quotation process and delivering a positive, compliant and professional sales experience. This is a telephone-based role combining inbound enquiries with outbound follow-up of warm leads.

The role is ideal for a confident and resilient salesperson who enjoys speaking with customers, overcoming objections and working towards ambitious but achievable targets. Full insurance training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity to develop specialist knowledge and progress within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take inbound calls from customers looking to purchase motor insurance.
  • Make outbound calls to warm leads and maximise every sales opportunity.
  • Conduct thorough fact-finds to identify relevant customer information and material facts.
  • Present appropriate products clearly and compliantly, ensuring customers understand the cover offered.
  • Handle objections confidently, using persuasion and influence without applying pressure.
  • Close sales, generate revenue and consistently deliver a high-quality customer experience.
  • Work towards and exceed individual sales, quality and productivity targets.
  • Liaise with internal underwriters to secure the most suitable available quotation for each customer.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow internal processes, regulatory standards and quality requirements.
  • Contribute positively to the wider team and support the continued growth of the business.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous telephone sales experience across inbound and/or outbound channels is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong sales mindset, with confidence working in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
  • The ability to build rapport quickly, ask effective questions and explain information clearly.
  • Resilience, self-motivation and a proactive “can-do” attitude.
  • Good objection-handling, influencing and closing skills.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to adapt to the needs of the business.

Desirable, but not essential

  • Previous experience within insurance or financial services.
  • Experience selling motor insurance.
  • A track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • A CII qualification.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Salary and Benefits

  • Basic salary of £25,000 - £29,000, depending on experience.
  • Generous uncapped commission structure with a minimum on-target earning potential of £50,000.
  • 21 days’ annual leave plus English bank holidays.
