IBA Accounts Technician | Scottvale Insurance Solutions

Hammersmith, London

Full-time | Permanent

Start: October 2026

Salary: Dependent on experience

About the Role

Scottvale Insurance Solutions is looking for an experienced IBA Technician to join our team in Hammersmith. Established in 1983, Scottvale is an independent insurance broker working across a broad range of commercial and specialist insurance. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day IBA function and play an important role in the smooth financial operation of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with our Director and broking team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accurate and timely management of insurance broking accounts, including:
    • Client and insurer cash allocation
    • Insurer statement reconciliation and settlement
    • Bank and client money account reconciliations
    • Credit control and monitoring outstanding premiums
    • Processing refunds and return premiums
    • Commission and brokerage reconciliation
    • Client Money Calculations
    • Month-end processes and reconciliations
    • Investigating and resolving accounting discrepancies
    • Maintaining accurate records within Acturis
    • Liaising with insurers, clients, and colleagues to resolve account queries
    • Production of reports and escalation of overdue accounts

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in insurance broking and financial administration, including premium processing, account reconciliation, and invoice management
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with proficiency in MS Office and Excel
  • Strong working knowledge of Acturis is required
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation, and record-keeping
  • Deep knowledge of IBA practices, and an understanding of commercial insurance
  • Confidence working independently and taking ownership of the IBA function
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements within the UK insurance market is an advantage, and a good understanding of FCA client money requirements
  • Relevant qualification in finance, accounting, insurance is desirable
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, insurers, and internal Directors
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines
  • A practical, proactive approach to resolving queries
