IBA Technician - 6-month FTC
Salary: Circa £45,000 DOE
Location: London (Hybrid, 2-3 days in office)
The Role
A growing Lloyd's/London Market insurance business is seeking an IBA Technician to join their finance team on a six-month contract. You will help clear an operational backlog and support a wider transformation project, with genuine scope to help reshape how the IBA function operates.
Key Responsibilities
- Match and allocate daily cash receipts, reconcile bordereaux and investigate variances.
- Liaise with brokers, clients, and underwriters to resolve discrepancies, raise adjusting journals, and issue PPW invoices.
- Manage Accounts Payable tasks, including bureau cash entries and weekly remittance advices.
- Ensure the timely settlement of underwriting transactions.
- Produce aged debt and unallocated cash reports.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and support month-end postings, maintaining a clear audit trail.
- Take ownership of day-to-day IBA activity and support resolution of the backlog.

About You
- Strong IBA background with solid bordereaux processing experience.
- Sound knowledge of the Lloyd's/London Market.
- Experience across a full IBA function.
- RiskServe experience advantageous: credit control exposure a plus.
- Confident and personable, with the ability to constructively challenge where needed.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across brokers, producers, and internal teams.
- Comfortable taking ownership and integrating into an established team.
