Insurance/ Financial Analyst - In-House Insurance
Blue chip, global, multinational services business group looking for an experienced analyst, educated with either ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualifications but interested in working within a corporate business function which is outside of the strict accountancy and finance remit. Working within a risk management, in-house facility, providing support to placement and claims group managers - you will utilise your financial analytics to support the wider function.
Responsibilities can include:
- Working within the 'In-House' insurance function of this large business group, providing key analytical support with responsibilities as follows.
- Develop and enhance insurance management information, dashboards, and trend analysis reporting
- Manage the preparation and analysis of insurance budgets, forecasts, and premium allocations
- Support the gathering, validation, and governance of exposure and claims data for renewals and strategic reporting
- Collaborate with brokers, insurers, third-party administrators, and internal stakeholders to improve claims performance and data quality
- Support the evaluation of alternative risk transfer opportunities and market solutions
- Identify emerging claims and operational risk trends and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with the Claims Manager in the validation, forecasting, and analysis of retained and insured loss costs
- Support the optimization of the Group’s insurance program structure, risk transfer strategy, and captive utilization
- Provide analytical insight to support bid governance, contract renewals, and commercial negotiations
- Support the optimization of total cost of risk across insurance premiums, retained losses, and operational exposures
- Support actuarial analysis, retained loss forecasting, and risk retention modelling

Preference will be given to candidates who have the following skill sets:

- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and forecasting capability
- Experience with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
- Experience interpreting and presenting complex datasets and trends
- Experience within insurance, risk financing, captive management preferred
- Exposure to multinational insurance programs and claims analytics desirable
