The Opportunity

At LCP the work we do involves assessing the risks associated with uncertain future events. We help clients better understand and quantify these uncertainties, thereby supporting them to mitigate these risks. As a Summer Intern in the Insurance Consulting department specifically, you'll get an insight into the work we do advising general insurance companies on reserving and financial risk management, building models to calculate capital requirements, and helping insurance companies meet the Solvency UK /Solvency II regulatory requirements. You will also have the opportunity to support the development of our analytics tools, using R and Python, including our multi-award-winning reserving platform InsurSight.

An internship with us will give you real insight into how we communicate our analysis to our clients in a way that’s simple, clear, and easy to understand. You will have the opportunity to get involved in real client projects, giving you a deep insight into what a career in insurance consulting could look like.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
