Insurance Development Executive
I'm working exclusively with a specialist insurance broker looking to appoint an Insurance Development Executive to support the continued growth of an established Property Risks team.
This is a newly created role and an excellent opportunity to join a business that is investing heavily in its property proposition.
About the Role
This role will suit someone who enjoys being out in the market, building relationships and creating opportunities. It is not a traditional Account Executive position where you'll inherit a book and spend your time servicing clients.
Instead, you'll be responsible for developing relationships with:
- Property Investors
- Portfolio Landlords
- Managing Agents
- Property Management Companies
- Property Developers
- Property Solicitors
- Professional Introducers and Referral Partners

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The successful individual will become a visible presence within the property sector, attending networking events, building strategic relationships and identifying opportunities with businesses that own, manage or advise on property portfolios.
You'll work closely with a highly experienced Property specialist who already has an established network and client base. The expectation is that you'll focus on opening doors, creating opportunities and building a pipeline, whilst being supported by a team that can assist with technical delivery and client servicing.
Requirements
We're keen to speak with experienced Commercial Insurance professionals who have a proven track record in business development. Property experience would be advantageous, but it isn't essential. What's far more important is the ability to build credibility, develop relationships and generate new opportunities.

You'll likely be:
- An Insurance Development Executive, Account Executive or New Business Executive
- Someone who enjoys networking and being in front of clients
- Commercially minded and proactive
- Relationship-driven rather than transaction-focused
- Comfortable developing opportunities from scratch
- Looking for a role where you can focus on winning business rather than servicing a large inherited book
In return, you'll join a business with ambitious growth plans, an established specialist proposition and genuine support from an experienced leader within the property insurance market. You'll have the autonomy to build your own network, make an impact and play a key role in the future growth of the team.
