Insurance Associate / Senior Associate | 3+PQE | London
An opportunity has arisen for an Insurance Associate or Senior Associate to join the London office of a highly regarded international law firm with an established and well-regarded insurance and reinsurance disputes practice.
The team acts on complex, high-value and often international matters, advising leading insurers, reinsurers and other participants in the insurance market.
This is an opportunity for an ambitious insurance lawyer to join a sophisticated practice handling interesting, commercially significant work, with exposure to a broad range of insurance lines and complex disputes.
The Work
The team advises on a wide range of contentious insurance and reinsurance matters, including:
- Coverage disputes and policy interpretation.
- Financial lines and D&O claims.
- Professional liability and professional negligence.
- Reinsurance disputes and arbitration.
- Political risk and political violence claims.
- Aviation insurance matters.
- Property and other complex commercial insurance claims.

Who They're Looking For
3+ PQE insurance lawyers, with the firm open to both Associate and Senior Associate level candidates.
- A strong academic background, ideally including a 2:1 degree or above.
- Experience in contentious insurance, with exposure to a broad range of insurance lines particularly welcomed.
- Confident client-facing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and communicate complex issues clearly.

The firm is open to hearing from Insurance Associates and Senior Associates with experience in contentious insurance work.
The team is particularly interested in lawyers with a broad range of insurance lines experience, although candidates with a strong specialism in a relevant area may also be considered.
