Employment Associate/Senior Associate | 3+ PQE | London
A leading London insurance practice is looking to strengthen its specialist D&O and Financial Institutions team at Associate or Senior Associate level.
The team is highly regarded within the global insurance market and forms part of a broad international network, working closely with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions. Its lawyers regularly advise major insurers and reinsurers on complex international risks, including matters arising under multinational policies.
The practice has significant experience handling high-profile and complex D&O and FI disputes, with a particular strength in coverage advice and policy interpretation.
The Role
The successful candidate will join a highly experienced team advising leading insurer clients across the D&O and Financial Institutions space. The work will primarily focus on complex coverage issues arising under D&O, FI, crime, BBB and management liability policies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
