Job Description

Help protect and enable some of the UK and Ireland’s most significant renewable energy projects through expert insurance leadership, supporting the growth of wind, solar and battery technologies that will power a net zero future.

At EDF power solutions, we’re shaping an Electric UK and Ireland. Your work will help us turn that ambition into action – delivering renewable energy solutions that will power homes, businesses and communities for generations to come.

As Insurance Manager

As Insurance Manager, you'll play a key role in managing risk across the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects. Your expertise will help safeguard investments, support commercial decision-making, and enable the successful delivery of infrastructure critical to a net zero future.

The Opportunity

As Insurance Manager, you’ll lead and influence insurance activities across a growing portfolio of onshore wind, offshore wind, solar and battery storage projects. Working closely with the Head of Insurance, you’ll provide expert advice on risk transfer, claims management, insurance placement, and contractual insurance requirements throughout development, construction and operational phases.

  • Location: Hybrid role can be based from offices in #Edinburgh, #London or #Durham
  • Travel: Required for meetings and stakeholder engagement as needed across the UK and occasionally overseas

You’ll work with senior stakeholders, project teams, brokers and shareholders to help deliver value while managing risk effectively. This is an opportunity to make a visible impact across a complex renewable energy portfolio while building your expertise within one of the UK and Ireland’s leading renewable energy businesses.

Why EDF power solutions?

We’re united by a shared ambition: to tackle climate change, shaping an Electric UK and Ireland. Our diverse team is growing fast, driven by innovation and a commitment to clean, green energy for all.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
