Shape the future of pet insurance at Pets at Home!

We're building something new. As part of Pets at Home's ambitious new pet insurance business, we're looking for an experienced Insurance Product Manager to help create market-leading products that deliver great outcomes for pet owners while driving sustainable commercial growth.

About the Role

Working within our Product & Underwriting team, you'll own the full product lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and developing new propositions through to optimising in-life performance. You'll collaborate closely with Pricing, Underwriting, Digital, Marketing, Customer Operations and Data teams to ensure our products remain competitive, compliant and customer-focused.

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing business at an exciting stage of its journey, where you'll have the autonomy to influence strategy, challenge convention and make a visible impact.

The role offers remote working with occasional travel.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Owning and optimising the performance of our pet insurance portfolio, balancing growth, profitability and customer value
  • Leading the development and launch of new products, features and enhancements
  • Using customer, market and competitor insights to shape innovative propositions
  • Partnering with Pricing and Underwriting teams to support portfolio performance and fair value outcomes
  • Driving data-led decisions through trading reviews, performance analysis and customer feedback
  • Leading cross-functional teams to deliver product initiatives from concept through to implementation
  • Ensuring products meet FCA requirements, Consumer Duty expectations and internal governance standards

About You

  • Proven product management experience within insurance, ideally personal lines or pet insurance
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience delivering profitable growth
  • Sound understanding of FCA regulation, Consumer Duty and product governance
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insight
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and leading cross-functional delivery
  • A resilient, adaptable mindset and the confidence to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
