Salary: From £ 58,700 DOE and location + Fantastic benefits
Location status: Hybrid (flexible working options available)
Location: Bupa Place, Salford – Willow House, Staines
Permanent/fixed term contract: 12 months Secondment
Shift pattern: Full-time 37.5hrs
About the Role
At Bupa, we're passionate about helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives. We're looking for a talented and commercially minded Product Manager to join our Consumer & SME Private Medical Insurance (PMI) team on a fixed-term basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and evolve our health insurance proposition, ensuring our products remain customer-focused, competitive, and deliver fair value while supporting excellent customer outcomes. You'll work across a wide range of stakeholders to develop product enhancements, support strategic initiatives, and influence the future direction of our SME PMI portfolio.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the delivery and development of the Consumer & SME PMI product strategy.
- Leading or supporting the development and launch of product enhancements and new product initiatives.
- Acting as Product Lead on a variety of projects, including regulatory changes and proposition improvements.
- Conducting market, competitor and customer analysis to identify opportunities and shape future product development.
- Supporting broker tenders and new distribution opportunities.
- Managing annual and quarterly product reviews and fair value assessments.
- Developing and implementing action plans to address product performance and customer outcome improvements.
- Supporting the review and evolution of product Terms & Conditions.
- Monitoring product performance, risks, incidents, and audit actions to ensure strong governance and regulatory compliance.
- Producing high-quality reports, business cases and presentations for senior stakeholders and governance forums.

About you
We're looking for someone who can combine commercial thinking with strong analytical capability and a genuine focus on customer outcomes.
You will ideally have:
- Product management experience within Private Medical Insurance, General Insurance, or Financial Services.
- Experience supporting or leading product reviews, fair value assessments, or product governance activities.
- Knowledge of proposition development and product lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, market trends and customer insights.
- Experience working across multiple business functions to deliver change.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Strong presentation and report-writing capabilities.
- A good understanding of risk management, compliance and regulatory requirements.
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with close attention to detail.
