Our client is an established specialty insurance group with brokerage, underwriting, and insurance operations. Its international business is growing through increased revenue and new strategic initiatives, including potential acquisitions.
Following the appointment of an in-house Head of Talent Acquisition, the business is looking for a Researcher to help build its research capability and support hiring across its international operations.
The role
You will deliver talent research, candidate profiling, market mapping, and analysis, primarily across insurance brokerage and underwriting. Depending on your experience, you may lead research projects or support the Talent Acquisition Manager on appointments at all levels.

Your work will include:
- Building target lists
- Identifying and engaging potential candidates
- Preparing candidate summaries and market insights for hiring managers and senior leaders
- Tracking recruitment activity
- Keeping candidates informed throughout the process
- Contributing to progress reports and leadership briefings
You will also monitor industry developments, senior appointments, and other market moves, turning your findings into practical insights for hiring decisions. As the team grows, you will help improve its research processes and reporting, and contribute ideas on tools and technology, including a planned applicant tracking system.

About you
You will have research experience in executive search or a recruitment agency, with a strong focus on the insurance industry. You will understand broking and underwriting, ideally within specialty insurance, and have a network you can draw on.
You will bring experience of managing research projects, producing market maps and target lists, and presenting clear, useful candidate and market insights. You will be comfortable building relationships with stakeholders at different levels, working to tight deadlines, and adapting as priorities change.
