Role Description
This is a full-time, remote Protection Adviser role responsible for providing clients with clear, tailored advice on financial protection products. On a day-to-day basis, the Protection Adviser will conduct client fact-finds, assess protection needs, and recommend suitable products such as life cover, critical illness cover, accident protection, and income protection. The role involves managing a personal pipeline of client appointments, following up on leads, and maintaining accurate records in line with regulatory and company standards. The Protection Adviser will explain complex financial concepts in accessible language, support clients through applications, and liaise with providers to ensure policies are set up correctly. Collaboration with mortgage and specialist partners, while maintaining a friendly, no-obligation service, is an essential aspect of this position.

- Strong client-focused skills, including the ability to build trust, conduct thorough fact-finds, and provide clear, empathetic advice tailored to individual needs.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to explain financial concepts in straightforward terms across phone, video, and digital channels.
- Professionalism in adhering to compliance and regulatory guidelines, including accurate documentation and alignment with internal advice standards.
- Self-management and organizational skills to handle a remote advisory workload, manage appointments, and maintain a consistent follow-up process.
- Numeracy and analytical skills to interpret client circumstances, evaluate product options, and make balanced recommendations.
- Prior experience in financial services, insurance, or protection advice is beneficial; relevant industry qualifications (e.g., UK protection or mortgage advice certifications) are an advantage.
- Comfort with remote work technologies and customer relationship management systems; willingness to undertake ongoing training and professional development.
