ABOUT THE ROLE

John Lewis Financial Services are looking for an Insurer Relations Manager who will be responsible for the day to day activity of managing a motor and home panel of insurers. This individual will be responsible for the development and engagement of key insurer partnerships required to support the business plan and growth aspirations for both insurance products. The role demands an ability to quickly understand priorities, negotiate backlogs of work, establish operational processes and structures, with the aim to maximise competitiveness and scope.

You will be an ambassador and face for John Lewis Money (insurance products), championing the customer and John Lewis as a whole.

We want to establish a benchmark for exceptional service. We are eager to find a passionate and motivated individual to join us on our journey to success. Someone who understands the value of strong broker relationships and who are motivated by opening doors, changing minds, nurturing connections, and doing things differently to get results. In addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract Night Premium at a rate of £5.25 per hour. This will also apply to existing Partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.

Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The team meet 1 day a week in the London head office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings.

Key responsibilities

  • Engaging with insurers on a continuous basis to advance key initiatives and operational actions for both John Lewis and partner organisations.
  • Managing internal stakeholders and overseeing action tracking to ensure accountability and adherence to established timelines.
  • Assisting in the coordination and preparation of materials for insurer meetings, strategic reviews, and executive reporting.
  • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records of commercial agreements, performance metrics, and key contacts.
  • Escalating operational risks and strategic concerns to the Head of Insurer Relations and Commercial Lead as appropriate.
  • Supporting the preparation of management reports, including detailed data analysis and insights.
  • Establishing and sustaining effective professional relationships, providing rigorous stakeholder management across leadership teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
