ICS Manager (Integrated Concept Solutions Manager) – Permanent, Field Based
Salary £75k plus 25% bonus and excellent benefits (37.5 hours per week)
We are recruiting an ICS Manager for our client who are a leading diagnostic solutions and medical equipment provider based in Milton Keynes. The ICS Manager is a role responsible for leading and developing the Integrated Concept Solutions (ICS) team to deliver against the UK & Ireland businesses commercial and strategic objectives. The role has overall accountability for team performance, resource planning, capability development and the delivery of high-quality pre-sales, tender and product support activities that contribute to business growth and customer success.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and contribute to the delivery of the UK and Ireland business plan, working in alignment with commercial, product and wider leadership objectives.
- Lead the promotion of the company value proposition throughout the sales cycle through presentations, demonstrations, site visits, workflow assessments and customer engagement activities.
- Drive continuous improvement in tender response quality through post-tender reviews, lessons learned activities, feedback analysis and the sharing of best practice across the team.
- Oversee the delivery of workflow and efficiency studies to demonstrate and validate the value of overall solutions, ensuring robust pre- and post-installation evaluations that identify customer benefits and opportunities for optimisation.
- Support and develop the primary MSC business area, building capability within the team across MSC services, partner solutions and emerging market opportunities.
- Lead product lifecycle management activities, collaborating with Europe branch and internal stakeholders to support successful product launches, product enhancements and product retirement activities. Oversee product introduction plans and ensure product developments are effectively translated into customer communications, tender responses and commercial support materials.
- Maintain and develop the team's technical expertise, commercial acumen and market knowledge across the business portfolio, ensuring team members can confidently support customers and internal stakeholders whilst identifying market trends and opportunities.
- Lead, coach and develop the ICS team, fostering a high-performance culture and building capability in technical expertise, commercial awareness and market understanding.
- Manage team resources, workload allocation and priorities across tender responses, demonstrations, presentations, projects and customer support activities, ensuring effective management of service demand and delivery against business priorities.
- Lead the ICS team’s contribution across the pre-tender and tender lifecycle, from early engagement with pathology networks, trust and corporate parent organisations (recognising that supplier decisions are increasingly taken above laboratory and procurement level), sequenced against contract end dates, through to technical proposals.

Essential Requirement Skills and Qualifications

- Should have FIBMS, MSC or another related postgraduate level qualification in biomedical sciences or a related discipline
- Exceptional experience and knowledge in haematology, coagulation and POC diagnostic disciplines.
- Demonstrated success in leading and delivering high-quality tender responses, including stakeholder engagement, quality assurance, governance, lessons learned processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience working within UK and Irish procurement frameworks and tendering environments including public and private sector requirements.
- Proven experience in leading, developing and motivating high-performing teams, including performance management, coaching, succession planning and capability development.
- The ability to build strong relationships with other teams within the company, primary bidders and partner suppliers
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in the successful launch of new medical diagnostic products and supporting product lifecycle management activities.
- Demonstrated understanding of budget management, including planning, monitoring, and cost control within a business function.
- Demonstrable training experience in a commercial position within the domain of Diagnostics
