Integrated Delivery Director - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Location

London

Purpose

Accountable to the Chief Transformation Officer for setting the overall strategy, investment priorities & conversion of major operating-model choices into integrated, executable transition portfolios of change. Leading a team of Portfolio Delivery Directors, the role oversees mobilisation, commercial and organisational readiness, and cross-enterprise implementation across operations, technology, people, legal, risk and regulatory domains, while retaining accountability for collective outcomes, strategic coherence and executive confidence.

The role owns the transition strategy and the conditions for safe execution across multiple portfolios, ensuring that complex changes are sequenced, governed and implemented with minimum disruption and clear value. It also sets and embeds the standards for portfolio management, change excellence, governance, assurance, benefits realisation and delivery capability across the team, ensuring commercial ambition is pursued within risk appetite and remains aligned to technology, digital & growth change roadmaps.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own the enterprise transition strategy and integrated roadmap for major operating-model changes, from mobilisation and design assurance through implementation readiness and stabilisation.
  • Translate strategic intent into coherent portfolios, outcomes, decision points, investment requirements and critical dependencies.
  • Lead business architecture, operations, commercial, procurement, legal, people, technology, risk and compliance disciplines to produce an implementable end-state and transition path.
  • Own strategic sourcing, insourcing, outsourcing and integration mobilisation, including commercial structure, contractual readiness, TUPE implications, partner accountability and exit resilience.
  • Set enterprise readiness criteria and independently challenge scope, funding, capacity, control maturity and implementation confidence before major releases or cutovers.
  • Chair executive transition governance; frame choices, trade-offs and recommendations for the CTO, ExCo and Board, and secure timely decisions across organisational boundaries.
  • Integrate operational capability with the target architecture, data and platform roadmaps owned by the Digital & Future State Delivery Director.
  • Manage cross-portfolio dependencies and transition risk, escalating conflicts and recommending resequencing, remediation, investment or stop decisions where required.
  • Build a repeatable operating-model implementation capability, with reusable standards for due diligence, mobilisation, readiness, cutover, stabilisation and benefits handover.
  • Sponsor delivery outcomes through delegated Portfolio Directors, holding them to account for execution while retaining accountability for strategic coherence and enterprise readiness.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
