About the Role
The successful candidate must be confident to work autonomously, within a supportive team, in providing continuity of care to families in Oban, Lorn & Islands. The successful applicant will be based in Oban but expected to travel to other maternity units within Argyll & Bute to cover when necessary. At times, you may be required to cover homebirths within the Health Care Partnership (HSCP). You will be the named midwife to a caseload providing a full range of care. There is an on-call commitment overnight providing Out of Hours care. You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
Requirements
- A Full/current UK driving licence is essential for this post along with the use of your own car to commute.
- A pool car will be provided for community visits and an overnight on-call service.
