Overview
Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) powers the global infrastructure behind Microsoft's cloud platforms. Within CO+I, EPC is responsible for delivering hyperscale datacenter programs that enable continued growth of Microsoft's cloud services worldwide.
As an Integrated Planning & Scheduling Program Manager for Microsoft EPC Central Team, you will play a critical role in delivering Microsoft's global Data Center portfolio. You will develop, manage, and optimise Plan of Record (POR) schedules from early design through approval and deployment, ensuring projects are planned realistically, executed efficiently, and supported by data-driven decision making.
You will act as a trusted planning expert, applying industry-leading scheduling practices, Critical Path Method (CPM) principles, and risk-based insights to build high-quality, integrated schedules.
Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will validate sequencing and durations, drive schedule governance, and improve predictability through scenario modelling, schedule analytics, and acceleration planning.
The Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) team delivers complex, multi-year infrastructure programmes across multiple regions, bringing together expertise in engineering, construction, sourcing, project controls, and delivery. Success depends on strong cross-functional collaboration, proactive risk management, and disciplined execution at scale.

- Change Management & Governance: Develop documentation supporting schedule assumptions and strategy, contribute to Schedule Risk Analysis, and lead change management for planning initiatives. Create and maintain program processes, procedures, and guidance while supporting continuous learning and improved planning maturity across EPC.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
