Role purpose / summary
The SAP Regen programme is a multi‑year transformation focused on migrating and modernising the client’s integration estate to strategic platforms, enabling the transition from SAP ECC to S/4HANA. The programme includes large‑scale API and integration migration, driving standardisation, simplification, and alignment to a clean‑core architecture.
Role Overview
As a Senior Integration Architect, you will work within the Integration Migration workstream, reporting to the Lead Integration Architect. You will be responsible for designing and delivering integration solutions for specific domains or API groupings, contributing to the overall architectural direction while ensuring high‑quality, consistent delivery across the programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver integration solutions migrating from legacy platforms (e.g., SAP PI, webMethods) to strategic platforms such as HIP and SDES, aligned to programme standards.
- Define API specifications and integration patterns, including conversion of legacy SOAP services to modern RESTful APIs.
- Apply API‑first and domain‑driven integration approaches to support reuse, decoupling, and long‑term maintainability.
- Contribute to end‑to‑end solution design, ensuring alignment with S/4HANA clean‑core principles and wider programme architecture.
- Embed modern engineering practices including shift‑left testing, CI/CD, automation, and AI‑assisted delivery techniques.
- Support the identification and management of technical risks, dependencies, and migration sequencing considerations.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams, product owners, and SMEs to ensure designs are implementable, scalable, and supportable.
- Contribute to architecture governance, documentation, and design assurance processes led by the Lead Integration Architect.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
