Integration Architect
We're supporting a large organisation undergoing a significant ERP transformation and are looking for an experienced Integration Architect to define and govern the integration landscape for a major enterprise platform implementation.
This is a key role within the programme, responsible for shaping integration strategy, architecture standards, APIs, middleware, and system interfaces across a complex technology environment.
The Role
Working closely with architects, engineering teams, delivery partners, and third-party vendors, you'll provide technical leadership across integration design, governance, testing, deployment, and operational transition.
You'll be responsible for ensuring secure, scalable, and supportable integrations between the new ERP platform and wider business systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Define integration strategy, target architecture, principles, and standards.
- Design and govern API, messaging, event-driven, batch, and data integration patterns.
- Lead integration requirements and design workshops with technical and business stakeholders.
- Review and assure integration designs, specifications, and data flows.
- Provide architecture oversight across vendors, systems integrators, and engineering teams.
- Support delivery teams through build, testing, deployment, and service transition.
- Manage architecture risks, dependencies, non-functional requirements, and technical debt.
- Contribute to cutover planning, monitoring strategy, and operational readiness.

Required Experience
- Proven experience as an Integration Architect within large-scale ERP or enterprise transformation programmes.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise integration architecture, APIs, middleware, messaging, and event-driven systems.
- Hands-on experience with technologies such as:
- Azure Service Bus or RabbitMQ
- Apache Kafka
- API-led integration architectures
- Cloud, SaaS, and on-premise integrations
- Experience governing architecture delivered by third-party suppliers and implementation partners.
- Strong understanding of security, resilience, monitoring, scalability, and supportability.
- Experience working within architecture governance and Design Authority processes.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Experience
- ERP implementation experience.
- Boomi, Azure Integration Services, or similar integration platforms.
- Experience supporting integration testing, cut-over, and go-live activities.
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or enterprise reporting ecosystems.
