Senior Bureau Messaging Integration Architect

£95,000 - £105,000 plus bonus and benefits

City of London

Hybrid

An experienced Enterprise Integration Architect with deep London Market insurance knowledge who can design, govern, and modernise complex integrations between insurance systems, Lloyd's platforms, brokers, bureaus, and partners while ensuring security, resilience, and scalability.

My client is looking for someone who can design and lead the messaging technology that allows the exchange of data securely and reliably with external organisations, particularly within the London Market and Lloyd's insurance ecosystem.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • An experienced integration architect with 8+ years designing enterprise integration solutions.
  • Experience with Lloyd's, bureau messaging, bordereaux, delegated authority, and insurance operations.
  • Ability to design complex integration architectures connecting underwriting, claims, finance, reporting, and external partners.
  • Strong technical expertise in:
    • APIs, messaging, event-driven systems, cloud integration, and middleware platforms like Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, Kafka, IBM MQ, or Boomi.
  • Understanding of insurance data standards, particularly ACORD messaging and London Market standards.
  • Ability to balance business and technology, translating business requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions.
  • Leadership in architectural governance, ensuring projects follow enterprise standards and best practices.
  • Building secure and resilient systems, considering security, compliance, auditability, disaster recovery, and operational support from the outset.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders, working with business teams, developers, vendors, security specialists, and senior leadership.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, simplifying integrations, reducing technical debt, and promoting reusable solutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
