Description

We are looking for a Integration Assistant Manager to join our Sumer Offshore Services team, part of the Sumer Group, working in a hybrid model based at the 123 Consulting office in Johannesburg. Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Strategy & Integration Director and Integration Manager to support the development and implementation of the Group’s integration strategy
  • Support the management and coordination of integration activities across the Group, ensuring effective planning, tracking, and execution
  • Support the development and rollout of standardised pre- and post-acquisition integration processes and frameworks
  • Assist in identifying and tracking value creation opportunities, including synergies, across pre- and post-acquisition phases
  • Coordinate with functional leads to deliver integration activities requiring technical or specialist input, ensuring alignment across workstreams
  • Support the preparation of Investment Committee materials and other reporting material
  • Monitor and report on integration progress, KPIs, and value delivery, highlighting risks, dependencies, and supporting resolution actions
  • Assist in tracking and reporting of technology and transformation initiatives with various teams
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of integration processes, tools, and methodologies

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • Experience in an M&A, integration, transformation, or project environment (typically 3–5 years)
  • Understanding of integration processes, including system integration, M&A integration, and synergy/value creation concepts
  • Strong project coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities
  • Good analytical capability, with the ability to interpret data, track performance, and identify risks or issues
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across cross-functional teams
  • Strong reporting and presentation skills, including experience preparing materials for senior stakeholders
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment, demonstrating a proactive and structured approach

Desirable

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Experience supporting M&A or integration programmes within a professional services or corporate environment
  • Exposure to enterprise systems or technology transformation initiatives
  • Experience with data analytics, dashboarding, or reporting automation
  • Project management certification is a plus
