Help shape the future of housing technology by designing and delivering secure, scalable integration solutions.

I am working with a Housing Association who are committed to delivering exceptional services to customers and communities through technology, innovation and digital transformation.

As part of an ambitious technology roadmap, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Integration Developer to join a growing technology team. This role will be instrumental in designing, developing and supporting integrations that connect business-critical systems, applications, partners and services across the organisation.

Working alongside architects, developers, analysts and third-party suppliers, you will design and build secure, scalable and resilient integration solutions that improve business processes, customer experience and operational efficiency.

You'll play a key role in helping the organisation adopt modern API-led and cloud-based integration approaches while supporting the delivery of ongoing digital transformation programmes.

As an Integration Developer, you will design, build and support secure integrations that connect critical business systems, applications and external partners. Working closely with developers, architects and business stakeholders, you'll deliver scalable solutions that improve data flow, operational efficiency and customer services.

You'll take ownership of the full integration lifecycle, from technical design and development through to testing, deployment and ongoing support. This includes developing APIs, troubleshooting issues, maintaining documentation and ensuring solutions remain secure, resilient and aligned with best practices.

You'll also play a key role in the organisation's digital transformation journey, helping to drive API-led, cloud-based integration strategies while embracing modern development practices such as automation, CI/CD and DevOps. Through collaboration with teams across the business, you'll ensure technology solutions deliver meaningful value to both colleagues and customers.

You’ll be a great fit if you have experience in:

  • Strong software development experience in integration-focused environments.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party systems.
  • Commercial experience with Java, Spring Boot or TypeScript.
  • Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
  • Experience working with JSON, XML and CSV data structures.
  • Knowledge of API security and authentication frameworks.
  • Experience with Git version control.
  • Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experience with automated testing and tools such as Postman.
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud technologies.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

It would be advantageous if you also had experience in:

  • Experience with MuleSoft and DataWeave.
  • Exposure to event-driven architectures and message queue technologies.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling.
  • Understanding of Housing Management Systems.
  • Experience working within the Housing sector or another regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and Service Management principles.

The salary is £60,000 with excellent benefits.

This is a flexible hybrid role with 2 days a week onsite in the office in the North East.
