We’re supporting a growing digital transformation consultancy looking for an experienced Integration Engineer to join its team and support some of the largest digital transformation projects across the NHS and wider healthcare sector.

The organisation works with a range of healthcare clients, implementing complex integrated solutions that deliver positive outcomes for healthcare providers and patients.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the design and development of healthcare client integration solutions.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of the healthcare integration space.
  • Championing technical quality processes, both internally and across client projects.
  • Contributing to the development of integration and data standards capabilities.
  • Providing leadership and support to integration-focused training and development programmes.
  • Supporting the continued improvement of healthcare integration services and solutions.
  • Supporting the ongoing development of Integration Specialists, ensuring knowledge and expertise remain current.
  • Managing and coordinating multiple deliverables concurrently.

What we’re looking for

  • Integration experience within one or more NHS settings, such as national, acute, community and social care, or primary care.
  • Experience working with healthcare interoperability and integration technologies, such as HL7 v2, FHIR, Mirth or InterSystems HealthConnect.
  • Strong relational database expertise in the context of supporting healthcare integration solutions.
  • Confidence participating in technical architecture, strategy and process definition discussions.
  • The ability to coordinate and support the delivery of work by more junior Integration Specialists.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

It would be great if you also have experience with

  • IHE standards and HL7 CDA.
  • Development and/or operational experience with commercial integration engines, such as InterSystems HealthShare.
  • Client-facing experience gained within a technical consultancy or software vendor.
  • Agile methodologies, principles and ways of working.
